Are you good at math? Did you know that you can earn good money just by solving math problems?

That’s right. If you know your geometry, algebra, calculus, statistics, or even just elementary math, then you can use your math skills to solve your way out of your money problems.

Find X? More like find Xtra cash! Hehe, just kidding.

Anyway, if you want to earn money with your math skills, then meet Photomath, the app and website that pays you up to $300 a week or so just to solve math problems and review math solutions.

Now if you’re already familiar with Photomath, then you know that it’s a totally legit way to earn some good money on the side – all by solving some math problems, all on your free time, and all from the comfort of your own home (or wherever)!

But if this is the first time you’ve heard of Photomath and would like to know more about it, I’ve written a little review (of sorts) to help you understand what it’s all about, how it can help you earn some extra cash, and why it’s definitely worth your time.

What is Photomath?

Photomath is a math education app that uses a smartphone’s camera to instantly scan and recognize mathematical equations; the app then accurately solves and intuitively explains these math problems to users through step-by-step explanations, ultimately promoting comprehension of fundamental concepts.

Its premise and process are really very simple, but very innovative: you simply scan a math problem, be it printed text or handwritten, and whether on textbooks, worksheets, or notes, and the app quickly attempts to identify it. Once the problem is recognized, the app will display solving steps, sometimes in a variety of methods or multiple approaches, to explain the scanned problem step-by-step and teach users the correct process. The app also makes use of graphs to show solutions of equations and system of equations.

Photomath is available for free on Google Play and the App Store, though users can pay for a premium version to access additional features and content.

Is Photomath legit?

Yes, Photomath is completely legit.

It’s the world’s most used math education app, solving more than 2.2 billion math problems per month. Across the globe, it has over 220 million users, from students who want to master math, be it arithmetic or calculus; to teachers who want to expand their teaching toolkit; to parents who want to help their children with homework.

To date, Photomath has a 4.7-star rating from over 2.4 million reviews on Google Play, and a 4.8-star rating from over 500 thousand reviews on the App Store.

Why does Photomath pay people to solve math problems?

Photomath is powered by advanced AI technology to instantly scan, accurately solve, and intuitively explain math problems to users through step-by-step explanations. However, the AI-provided solutions and steps still need to be verified by experts.

Also, no matter how powerful the AI is, there are still a few problems that it can’t solve – at least not yet. Certain forms of word problems, for instance, in which the AI cannot form equations, and therefore cannot generate solutions, because it cannot process the context of the problem in the first place.

Now Photomath has an in-house math R&D (Research and Development) team who continuously updates and improves the app by adding new features that allow users to approach math learning from different perspectives. But even they can’t handle it all.

That’s where you come in.

Photomath requires Math Experts to solve and review various math problems and provide step-by-step solutions with explanations. In return, you will be compensated depending on the number, type, and complexity of the problems you solve and review. You get paid for both (solving and reviewing).

If you’re interested in applying, then read on to find out what it takes to become a Math Expert on Photomath.

Who can apply as a Math Expert?

To become a Math Expert, Photomath requires two important things: that you have basic and advanced knowledge of elementary math, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics; and that you are fluent in English, especially when it comes to math vocabulary.

Anyone from around the world is welcome to apply.

What do you do as a Photomath Expert?

Your job as a Math Expert will be to learn about existing solving methods applied at Photomath, solve various math problems and provide step-by-step solutions with explanations (in English) on the app’s online platform, and review the quality of various math problems already solved.

How much can you earn as a Math Expert?

As a Math Expert, you can earn more than $300 a week in extra income.

Of course, your income depends on the number, type, and complexity of the problems you solve and review. You get paid by the question – so the more problems you solve or review, the greater your income. Each math problem is worth anywhere from $0.65 to $3. The more complex it is, the higher the reward. You also get bonuses for visual content (graphs, etc.).

Note that you can already earn on Photomath just by getting through the qualification phase. Photomath pays you $10 for each field you qualify for (elementary math, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics).

You can also add to your earnings by encouraging other people to sign up as Math Experts on Photomath. For every referral who joins and solves 100 tasks, you earn $20.

Photomath pays Math Experts on a weekly basis, and only via Payoneer.

Why should I apply as a Photomath Expert?

Are you someone who delights in all things mathematical? Someone who relishes the opportunity to find solutions to mathematical questions? Someone who enjoys applying a logical and methodical manner to figure out complex tasks?

Do you like helping other people solve math problems? Do you want to contribute to creating high-quality mathematical content? Do you want to other people to love math as much as you do?

Do you want to earn money by doing what you already know and love? Are you looking for a part-time job, gig, or side-hustle that allows you to earn money during your free time, and all from the comfort of your own home (or from anywhere you want)?

If your answers to all (or some) of these questions are ‘yes’, then you have all the reasons you need to apply as a Math Expert on Photomath.

How do I become a Math Expert?

By signing up with Photomath. You will need either a Google account or a Facebook account to do that.

Once you sign up and fill in all the required information, you have to choose a math field you want to qualify for first. You can choose from elementary math, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. Qualifying for advanced fields already qualifies you for basic or less advanced fields. For instance, qualifying for calculus will automatically qualify you for algebra and elementary math. You can qualify for all fields.

You will then be given a test to prove your math expertise. If you pass that, you will undergo training to familiarize yourself with the methods and tools used to solve and review problems on Photomath’s online platform. The training stage culminates in a final test involving everything you’ve just learned.

If you successfully clear all that, congratulations, you’re now a bona fide Math Expert! Photomath will pay you a bonus just for successfully becoming a Math Expert, and you can now start earning by solving and reviewing math problems.
